Adam Woods

Adam Woods is the beef editor at the Irish Farmers Journal where he has responsibility for both technical coverage and news coverage in relation to both the Irish beef industry and international developments. Adam co-ordinates a number of farm programmes including the Teagasc/Irish Farmers Journal BETTER farm beef challenge, the THRIVE dairy calf to beef programme and the Irish Farmers Journal mixed grazing demo farm in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Adam spent 10 years working for Teagasc which included positions across both advisory and research directorates from 2006-2016. He was a beef systems researcher at Teagasc Grange with responsibility for the Derrypatrick Herd at Grange and also the Newford Herd at Athenry from 2015-2016. He was previously a Beef Better Farm Programme advisor and he also co-ordinated the programme form 2013 – 2015. Adam comes from a beef and sheep farm in Co. Cavan. Adam has served two three year terms on Council.
