Con Hurley left the Irish Farmers Journal in 2006, where he had worked as Dairy Editor for 30 years. In this position his primary focus was on helping farm families achieve a high quality of life through better dairy farm management and higher farm profits. During the 1990’s he pioneered the extended grazing revolution which has led to high profit, grass-based dairying that is now Ireland’s main competitive edge in farming. Con now works as a Life Coach and course provider who specialises in life planning, happiness, personal financial planning and managing change. He is the published author of ‘Yes I Can – achieve personal success with the life planning toolkit.’ Con practices what he preaches and lives a life full of happiness, contentment, health and meaning. He enjoys a balanced life with his wife, Eleanor in West Cork. Balance involves growing their own vegetables, walking, travel, keeping up with their grandchildren and socialising in the local community. Con divides his work time between coaching, delivering courses and study. He is an assistant lecturer to the MBA class in University College Cork where he also undertook a doctorate degree in business administration. (DBA).
