Deirdre Hennessy is a research officer in the Grassland Science Research Department, at the Animal and Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Teagasc, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork. Deirdre’s main areas of research focus on grazing management, grass physiology, effect of stocking rate and grazing season length on nitrate leaching to 1 m, incorporating white clover in to milk production systems at stocking rates greater than 2.2. LU/ha, sustainable milk production and grass growth modelling. Deirdre is a member of the Irish Grassland Association council since 2007.
