Mike Magan is a Dairy farmer from Longford and a past president of IGA. He has a self-confessed lifelong interest in the development of the Dairy industry in general with specific interest in maxmising the return for the farmer. Mike wrote a “farmer diary” piece for the Irish Farmers Journal in the 1980’s before becoming a member of the IFA dairy committee. Mike has had a wide range of activity in various bodies to date including Chairman of IHFA, Chairman of Agri Aware, board of ICBF, board of ICOS, board and Chairman of Lakeland Dairies and spent a year on the Irish Dairy Board. He was Chairman of Animal Health Ireland and sits on the Board of the Agricultural Trust (Farmers Journal) as deputy chairman.
