Stan Brophy was a large-scale mixed enterprise farmer and businessman at Castlemore, Tullow, Co. Carlow. He was a notable innovator, tillage in particular, and known throughout the country for his willingness in sharing his expertise with fellow farmers and with those engaged in agri-business. Mr Brophy was President of the IGA in 1970-1971.
